We produce projects in downtown Boston that:

pilot cultural and civic programming ideas so they can be experienced and evaluated today,
model how cities can move forward in tough economic times to activate urban space and serve communities,
broaden what we expect from the city and improve city life.

We build the capacity of partner organizations by:

developing expertise in implementing temporary programs,
documenting and sharing expertise so others can do this work,
wrapping up and dissolving Street Lab in five years time.
